Child safety standards
polappka is a service for adults: you must be 18 or over to have an account. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), anywhere on the service.
What is never allowed
- Any content that sexualises children, including drawings and text.
- Grooming, or any attempt to contact a child for sexual purposes.
- Ads that use children's services (childcare, tutoring, classes, events) as a cover to reach children.
- Sharing images of a child without the consent of their parent or guardian.
Ads for childcare, tutoring, Saturday schools and children's events are welcome. They may only be posted by adults or organisations, and they are checked like every other ad.
How to report
- In the app: tap Report on the ad.
- By e-mail: info@polappka.com, with "Child safety" in the subject. This is our designated contact for child safety, and these reports are handled first.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.
- You can also report directly to CEOP at the National Crime Agency, or report images to the Internet Watch Foundation.
What we do
- We remove the content and close the account at once.
- We keep the evidence that the law requires and report it to the National Crime Agency (CEOP).
- We cooperate with the police and other authorities.
- A closed account cannot be replaced with a new one (see Delete your account).
We follow UK child safety law. These standards apply together with our Ad rules and Terms.
