How do I edit my profile?

In the "My Account" section, you can:

• Update your name.
• Set your search preferences (like location and search radius).
• Manage your notification settings (choosing which categories and areas you'd like to get updates from).

Contact details or profile pictures are not required unless you're adding business details for invoices.

How long do ads stay active?

• Paid ads stay active for the full duration you select and pay for during creation.
• Free ads depend on the number of free tokens you have available.

🔹 3. Payments & Tokens

How do tokens work?

Every user receives 7 free tokens when they join POLappka. Tokens are only available for free, either:

• When you create an account (7 tokens).
• Through special promotions or by using promo codes as a special customer.

You cannot purchase extra tokens. Once your tokens are used, you can create ads by paying the standard fee based on the chosen category and duration.

How are tokens used?

• Events, Jobs, Rentals – 1 token = 1 day.
• Services – 1 token = 4 days.

What happens when I run out of tokens?

You can still post ads by paying for them during creation. The fee depends on the category and duration you choose.

How do I manage notifications?

You control notifications in "My Account." Choose categories and areas you'd like to receive updates about and set your notification distance.

Why am I receiving certain notifications?

We send notifications to keep you informed about:

• New ads in your chosen areas.
• Your ads’ expiration alerts.
• Updates relevant to your interests.

How does the search work?

POLappka’s search lets you find ads using keywords and location-based filters. Adjust your search radius or switch locations anytime through your account settings.

What is the maximum search radius?

The search radius slider goes up to 50 miles. For broader searches, you can manually change your location.

No. POLappka is designed to be clean and distraction-free, focused only on the ads our community creates.
